Synopsis: Inki versus lion and minah. Pretty much see Little Lion Hunter, 1939, plus fighting some insects.

Comments: Second lion cartoon in a row. Big flowers. Worm moves oddly. Kind of unpleasant. Character originated in Little Lion Hunter:
This is more cartoony than Little Lion Hunter, and lacks that faux Disney that Jones and Thors(o)n were doing in '39 (lion in Lion and the Mouse was a bit more like the '39 lion tho). Still something about this still feels like a throwback. Designy wallpaper. Long lion muzzle. The Chuck Jones shy tough guy face pulled. Industrial false teeth (well, the gums). Lion's tail stands tall like a palm tree. Minah is a havoc maker; ends up with the false teeth. The cartoon ends with the minah having a strategic advantage (kinda), but then just ends. Lots of cartoons end in that fashion, with the device that would allow closure to be obtained (obtaining what could bring you to closure, like a giant set of lion teeth), but then just ending. Some cartoons end with slaughtering all who stand before you, but not many. I think I tend to find those more satisfying than these kind.

Happy 11/11/11...
